CaliPhonia Phone, Computer Repair & Data Recovery

This repair shop is the BEST! I found myself in a pickle when my iPhone 13 Pro Max randomly stopped working. I went to Apple, and I had assumed they would fix the phone, given that I hadn't damaged the device or done anything I would consider to be my fault. Instead, they stated that the display had somehow broken due to "maybe dropping the device one too many times," and they quoted me an astronomical price that was almost more than the current price of the phone. I hopped online and found this shop, and I'm so glad I did. All the positive reviews were absolutely true, and the store owner was incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied with my device repair. Their prices were significantly more competitive than Apple's (obviously) and even more competitive than some of the other phone repair shops in the area from which I had received quotes. This shop offers high-quality products (same quality that Apple provides) and exceptional customer service. If you ever need a repair, this is the place to go!

Convenient location near Walnut Creek Safeway: My Pixel 6 battery was swollen, close to catching on fire. For $150, Mohamed (owner - bachelors in computer science) ordered replacement battery which took one day for delivery. Next day, dropped off at 11:30AM, enjoyed local lunch at Silk Road, picked up "Good As New", 90 minutes later! Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience at Caliphonia in Walnut Creek! After accidentally dropping my phone in water, I was worried it was beyond repair. Thankfully, Mohammed was incredibly helpful from start to finish. He was communicative and provided updates throughout the repair process, which gave me peace of mind. His expertise and attention to detail made a huge difference, and in the end, my phone felt good as new. The service was quick, professional, and really well priced—definitely a place you can trust for phone repairs. If you ever need tech repairs, I highly recommend Caliphonia. Thank you, Mohammed, for the excellent service! :)

Water damaged my phone the Friday before Easter but didn't notice until Saturday. I took it in to Caliphonia Saturday and was able to get a quote and drop off my phone immediately. The holiday meant the replacement part my phone ended up needing took a bit to get in, but whenever I called for updates the folks in charge very kindly let me know where they were in the process. My mom was able to pick up the phone for me on Tuesday and the charge for the remaining repairs was actually $20 less than I was quoted which as a very nice surprise! All things considered this was a very affordable and relatively fast service and I appreciate the staff being patient with me when I did call, anxious to know when it would be done. Edit to add: dropped the rating from 5 to 4 stars. Unfortunately my screen has had some troubles since the repair, up to and including becoming fully unresponsive when the original problem was just that the edges of the screen didn't work. I got it back Tuesday and the problems began Wednesday night, though most resolved with a restart. Friday morning however i couldn't get the screen to respond to any input besides my fingerprint to unlock it, meaning I couldn't tap to restart even though holding the power button brought up the restart menu. I went to the Walnut Creek store at 11:10 to see if I could speak with someone as no one picked up the phone at 11, waited until around 11:30 and left when the shop was still closed. I sent in a message on the website with my inquiry but haven't heard back and in the interim just went ahead and bought a new phone. It is worth noting that I was able to brute force my way out of the problem by getting my fingerprint wrong 5 times and after another restart it resumed mostly working, but every few hours it goes back on the fritz. I'm just chalking that up to it being a bit in the older side. Would still recommend this shop for the price and turn around time but they can be a little hard to get ahold of and the shop hours seem inconsistent compared to what's posted online and in person.

I have had several experiences at CaliPhonia Walnut Creek. The owner Moe is always helpful and intuitive about the issues. He works diligently to get the job done quickly. He has a very kind , calm disposition and a great understanding of most any problem.

Moe was very kind and professional and I would definitely recommend his shop to anyone who needs a repair. He replaced my kids iPhone screen and back camera and lens. He was very flexible working with me around my hours to get the phone fixed. Thanks again and will probably be seeing you again with my two kids breaking their phones. 😬
