A small but neat restaurant with yummy food. People are very friendly. You don’t want to miss the smoked meatloaf for sure. If you are in the area, give them a try and you won’t be disappointed.

Some of the best barbecue/ soul food I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing in my life time living in north central Florida. The gentleman at the counter was about 12 years old but he was extremely knowledgeable with his recommendations of the menu. And gave me the exact change perfectly. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was IMPECCABLE!!!! The fried green tomatoes were cooked to perfection. I will warn you that there isn’t really somwhere to eat inside the restaurant- but they can direct you to the nearest parks to enjoy your meal. And enjoy the meal we did. I will certainly be back next time I’m down in the area!!! Wonderful dining experience

Don't overlook this little gem! They had run out of a number of things by the time I came in - a sign of a good BBQ place. The guys were super friendly. BBQ was excellent and enough for two meals. The beans were a bit spicy for me, but that's just a matter of taste. Mashed sweet potato was very good and not too sweet. ~~~~~~~~~~ Went back and fell IN LOVE with the black eyed pea salad. It's a cold, refreshing hit for summer. Sorry about the pic - I had already eaten most of it. It's not an everyday offering, so if it's on the board GET IT!

I found Soulful Barbecue on the Internet, so I figured I would try them out. The proprietors are very friendly and very accommodating. I had ribs with sweetened carrots and sweet potato as a side. The food is prepared fresh. They scraped the seasoning off of the ribs for me because I have stomach issues and can’t have spicy food. The portions are very generous, and the place is very clean. The prices are good. I definitely recommend this place and I’m planning to go back for future visits.

Delicious! My sister "Cat" got home from errands today bout noon. With a delightful smile she told me "I brought us lunch home. You know, from that BBQ place you been wanting to try." We went out & sat at our outdoor table. OMG🤤 Brisket melts in your mouth. Coleslaw like I've never had w/red onion, multi colored bell pepper, cabbage and just right dressing. Potato salad made just right. Yummy good Mac n Cheese, Garlic toast & interesting fried balls not of the norm to "Loud puppies." The "designer sauces" were a Chef made to perfection. YOU absolutely have got to GO THERE!! **DUNNELLON, Fl BRISKET IS ON SATURDAYS

The reviews made me want to try this place. I spent most of my life in Jacksonville and ate at some extraordinary family-owned barbecue establishments. But this place matches, if not excels over some of the best. Truly a down-home barbeque experience. I won't be able to do the food enough justice on this review, so you'll just have to try it out. The business is small and tucked in with a few other businesses, and it is takeout only. If this is a problem for some, the food and staff will overcompensate for the inconvenience. I even ended up staying and conversing for a while, even though my food was ready. But now that I know what it tastes like, it will be harder to hang around. :⁠-⁠) This wonderful owner serves excellent barbecue!

The meatloaf was bad i. Gave it to the dogs poor so call meatloaf. I ordered 3 piece chicken Guess what? I got two piece one breast and one very overdone wing. The breast was OK, but the wings was really overdone I wish them to be successful, but if they keep this kind of quality, I don’t see it happening Over $24 For One meatloaf with a few sides I’m so-called two pieces of chicken, not three. Don’t hold your breath I won’t be back
