Summit Ice

I spent $50 for three people to skate, which is….expensive for what we experienced. The rink itself is a good size, the music and lights were nice, but the ice is ROUGH. They don’t maintain it. My friends (four people) also came, and they didn’t have the correct sizes for ANY of them. It wasn’t even particularly busy either. They tried on the skates that were available at the time which were obviously too small. They couldn’t skate in them. They returned the skates and asked for a refund, but were refused! If you can’t provide the service that we paid for, then don’t charge us for it! They should at least be transparent about the policy before we pay!

Was very disappointed in LS ice. We went Wed Jan 1st. Got there at 4pm. At 430 they do the zambonie thing an it breaks down an they have to shovel the ice etc. Takes about 30min. We were standing inside because no fire pits or standing heaters were going. Asked if they were going turn them on an she said no they were waiting till it got dark! But there was heaters in the celing outside. Yea but can only fill on your head. Kids finally got to skate again an at 545 guy inside tells us we can't be inside, I said then turn the heaters on. He tells me they are running low an will turn them on when gets dark again. So they care more about ambiance then customers. For same price as indep we will stick to there. Won't go back

Ice was extremely rough, could hardly skate, lots of small potholes. Zamboni never ran during the time we were there. Unable to even enjoy skating due to the unacceptable conditions of the ice. I found it odd the number of “no refund” signs until I too wanted a refund.

Came up for my daughter to ice skate, what a nice facility, not real big but very accommodating. They have little bonfire heater tables that help keep you warm. They offer soft drinks and hot cocoa. Staff was very friendly as well. We’ll definitely return

We've been to ice rinks across the country and they have a good setup. We got there when the temperature was warming up so we didn't get a great experience. The staff was approachable and answered any questions we had. The environment was great and the people were friendly. I'd definitely go back!

My son had been excited to skate all winter. We came and spent $48 to skate with my family. The ice was really rough and after 45 minutes we asked when the Zamboni would clean the ice. We told not for another 1.5 hours. Most other patrons were also complaining of the rough ice. We left soon after. I'm happy to spend my money for LS activities but I would not have spent my money here had I known how bad the ice was.

Had alot of fun! Just wish the ice was smoother, alot of golf ball sized chunks missing made it difficult for us 1st timers lol

Simply Awesome! I strongly recommend ignoring the review from the gentleman who couldn’t spell and thought that skating should be free since he had his own skates.... We have been here twice and our 6 year old loved both visits. The gentleman who seemed to be the manager was kind enough to even let our son borrow a stick and soft puck (we didn’t bring his with us). The gentleman went above and beyond in making sure that our time there was awesome. Heaters were nice and we will certainly be back! I hesitated leaving a review because I don’t want this hidden gem to become overcrowded, but it deserves visitors to ensure it is back each year. Not many options regarding rinks/hockey in KC vs. many other midwestern metro areas - so it is nice to have one so close in Lees Summit.
